Harv3st International is a global non-profit organization dedicated to creating sustainable solutions for communities in need. Our name reflects our mission: we don’t just provide temporary aid; we help produce a “harvest” of transformation by empowering individuals through education, essential resources, and community-driven development.

Our vision: To see cycles of poverty broken, families strengthened and lasting, generational change in the communities we serve.

Meet Our Founders

Marissa John

What started as a semester abroad trip to South Africa in 2011 blossomed into a lifelong love of international service. After months of working with children in one of the roughest townships in Cape Town, a seed was planted in Marissa’s heart to one day be able to do more to make a lasting impact in under-resourced communities trapped in cycles of poverty. This desire brought her through years of outreach and service work both domestically (in the US) and abroad before culminating in a move to Uganda in January 2025. While working in Uganda as a teacher and counselor, she saw many families struggling to put food on the table and unable to afford school fees for their children. It was then that the seed planted so many years ago grew into Harv3st International, and through Harv3st, she is working to make a lasting change.

La Crease Coleman

La Crease is driven by a lifelong passion to serve and uplift others. For years, she has led mission trips, dedicating her time to pouring into people, training leaders, and creating meaningful, lasting impact. She believes her journey began with a seed sown into her life at an early age—one that changed the trajectory of where she is today. That same belief fuels the heart of Harvest: that everything begins with a seed. Though it may start small, with faith it has the power to grow and transform lives. Today, she continues to walk out that calling by helping build sustainable solutions and empowering communities in Uganda and other underserved areas around the world.
